Job summary

Hardy Industries is a national IT, telecom, and infrastructure services provider seeking skilled Fiber Testing and Splicing Technicians. You will perform OTDR testing, fusion splicing, and fault diagnosis across multiple environments, from retail to data centers.

This 1099 contractor role pays hourly on site with travel pay, and offers opportunities to expand your fiber, IT, and networking skills while delivering reliable infrastructure nationwide.

Qualifications

• Fiber testing and troubleshooting experience required.
• Experience with OTDRs, meters, and certification equipment preferred.
• Understanding of single-mode and multi-mode fiber systems.
• Ability to read network diagrams and splice schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber optic tasks including fusion and mechanical splicing.
• Conduct OTDR testing, power meter and light source checks.
• Inspect, clean, and remediate connectors; test and certify fiber.
• Troubleshoot impairments, identify faults, document results.
• Install, terminate, and test fiber cabling; document records.
• Work independently across diverse environments nationwide.
