Job summary

Hardy Industries is seeking skilled Fiber Testing and Splicing Technicians to support our national client base. This role goes beyond basic installations, including OTDR testing, splicing, and troubleshooting complex connectivity issues across critical infrastructure.

You will work in diverse environments, document results, and help deliver reliable fiber solutions. This 1099 contractor role offers on-site work with travel within an 80-mile radius from home and additional benefits like training

Qualifications

• Fiber testing and troubleshooting experience required.
• Experience with OTDRs, power meters, light sources, fiber certification equipment, and visual fault locators.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of fiber optic tasks including splicing, OTDR testing, power meter testing, and certification.
• Documentation of test results, splicing records, and project deliverables.
• Installation, termination, and testing of single-mode and multi-mode fiber cabling.
• Identify and troubleshoot customer-premise and network impairments.
• Work independently across diverse environments and be available in coverage territory.
