Job summary

Hardy Industries is seeking skilled Fiber Testing and Splicing Technicians to support our growing national client base. This 1099 contractor role involves OTDR and fiber certification testing, fusion splicing, and troubleshooting of network impairments across diverse environments.

You will work independently, handle documentation, and remain available for service requests within your territory. A strong emphasis on safety, professionalism, and quality workmanship is expected.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of Fiber, I.T., or Telecom experience
• Familiarity with fiber testing and splicing equipment

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber optic and technical tasks including: fusion and mechanical splicing, OTDR testing, power meter testing, light source testing, and fiber certification
• Fiber continuity testing and fault-distance identification
• Connector inspection, cleaning, and remediation
• Patch-ccord troubleshooting and fiber jumper replacement
• Installation, termination, and testing of single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic cabling
• Identify and troubleshoot impairments in customer-premise and network-side environments
• Document test results, splicing records, and project deliverables
• Work independently across retail, medical, restaurant, corporate, telecom, and data center facilities
• Maintain professionalism with clients and project stakeholders
• Be available for service requests within coverage territory as needed
