Job summary

Hardy Industries is seeking skilled Fiber Testing and Splicing Technicians to support our growing national client base. This role goes beyond basic testing, including certifying fiber links with OTDRs and troubleshooting network impairments in the field.

You may perform fusion splicing, replace damaged jumpers, and identify faults across critical infrastructure while working across retail, medical, corporate, telecommunications, and data center facilities. This is a 1099 contractor position.

Qualifications

• Fiber testing and troubleshooting experience required.
• Ability to read network diagrams, splice schematics and blueprints.
• 1 year of Fiber, IT, or Telecom experience, or 5+ years field work.

Responsibilities

• Perform fusion and mechanical splicing of fiber.
• OTDR testing, power meter testing, light source testing, and fiber certification.
• Fiber continuity testing and fault-distance identification.
• Connector inspection, cleaning, and remediation.
• Patch-cord troubleshooting and fiber jumper replacement.
• Install, terminate, and test single- and multi-mode fiber.
• Document test results and project deliverables.
