Hardy Industries is seeking skilled Fiber Testing and Splicing Technicians to support our growing national client base. This role goes beyond basic testing, including OTDR certification and complex fault isolation across critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Fiber, IT, or Telecom experience or certifications.
• Experience with OTDRs, power meters, light sources, and fiber testing equipment.
• Knowledge of single-mode and multi-mode fiber systems.
• Familiarity with structured cabling standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber optic and technical tasks including splicing using fusion and mechanical methods.
• Conduct OTDR testing, power meter testing, light source testing, and fiber certification.
• Identify fiber faults and perform continuity testing and fault-distance identification.
• Inspect, clean, and remediate connectors; replace fiber jumpers as needed.
• Install, terminate, and test single-mode and multi-mode cabling.
• Document test results, splicing records, and project deliverables.
• Work independently across retail, medical, restaurant, corporate, telecom, and data center sites.
