Job summary

Forged Fiber 37 is seeking a Fiber Tech II – Splicing Technician to install, splice, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cable across our network construction and restoration projects in Provo, Utah. You will work on both aerial and underground lines, using OTDR, power meters, and fusion splicers to ensure high-quality, reliable connectivity.

We value hands-on problem solving, safety, and collaboration with construction crews and partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of fiber splicing/telecom outside-plant experience.
• Ability to read construction prints and splice diagrams.
• Proficient with fusion splicer and test equipment.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, splice, and test fiber optic cable for construction projects.
• Troubleshoot faults with OTDR, power meter, and identification tools.
• Prepare splice cases and maintain route integrity.
• Perform aerial and underground work, read maps and permits.
• Coordinate with crews and document splicing reports.
• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures.
