Job summary

Forged Fiber is seeking a Fiber Tech II - Splicing Technician to install, splice, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cable across construction projects in the Denver area. Work location is 5375 Zuni St, Denver, CO 80221, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of fiber splicing experience, proficiency with fusion splicers, OTDRs, and diagnostic tools, and the ability to read prints and design maps.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• 2+ years fiber splicing/OSP experience.
• Proficiency with fusion splicer, OTDR, optical power meter, fiber identifiers, and scope.
• Ability to read construction prints and diagrams with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Basic computer skills and field documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, splice, and test fiber optic cable for construction projects.
• Troubleshoot fiber faults using OTDR and meters.
• Prepare and repair splice cases and enclosures.
• Perform aerial and underground work per safety rules.
• Coordinate with crews and document field splicing reports.
