Job summary

Forged Fiber 37 is hiring a Fiber Tech II who will install, splice, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cables across our network builds and restorations. You will work with OTDRs, power meters, and inspection scopes to ensure high-quality splices in both aerial and underground environments.

The role requires reading construction prints and splice diagrams, coordinating with construction crews, and maintaining detailed field reports while adhering to OSHA and company safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of fiber splicing/telecom outside-plant or related experience
• Strong reading of construction prints, splice diagrams, and maps
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather and tolerate physical demands

Responsibilities

• Install, splice, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cables on construction projects
• Troubleshoot faults using OTDR, optical power meter, and fault finder
• Read and interpret prints, diagrams, and permits for accurate splicing work
• Coordinate with crews and document field splicing reports
• Follow OSHA, NESC, and company safety procedures and standards
