Job summary

CableCom, LLC is hiring a Fiber Splicer to join our telecom network team. You will fuse optical fibers, support aerial and underground upgrades, and ensure reliable data transmission. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and accurate documentation of daily splicing and maintenance tasks.

Ideal candidates have 6 months of splicing or 1 year in telecom, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a DOT physical. We offer growth, ongoing training, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the U.S.
• 6 months of splicing experience or 1 year in telecom preferred.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a medical card.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and working at heights is required.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks
• Document work performed through daily production reports and material records
• Other duties as assigned
