Job summary

Trawick Construction Company, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunications networks. You’ll perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks both aerial and underground, test and troubleshoot circuits after installation, and ensure all work meets industry standards.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED, 6 months of splicing experience (or 1 year in telecom), a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a DOT physical.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months of splicing experience or 1 year in the telecommunications industry preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to pass a DOT medical exam and obtain a valid medical card.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work via daily production reports, maps, and material usage records.
• Other duties as assigned
