Job summary

Globe Communications LLC is hiring a Fiber Splicer to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecom networks. You will join a team ensuring reliable connections and seamless data transmission across our growing network.

Responsibilities include performing aerial and underground splicing with guidance, testing and troubleshooting post-installation circuits, and documenting work with daily reports and material records. A valid driver’s license and a DOT physical are required.

Qualifications

• 6 months of splicing experience or 1 year of experience in the telecommunications industry.
• High School Diploma, GED or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Must pass a DOT physical exam to obtain a medical card.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work performed through daily production reports and material records.
