Job summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Co. in North Carolina seeks a Fiber Splicer to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunications network. You will perform aerial and underground splicing, test and troubleshoot circuits, and ensure work meets industry standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of splicing or 1 year in telecom, plus a valid driver’s license and DOT readiness. Training and safety are emphasized in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Six months splicing experience or one year in telecom preferred.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation
• Ensure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standards
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records
• Other duties as assigned
