CableCom, LLC is seeking an entry-level Fiber Splicer in California to join our field operations team. You will perform aerial and underground splicing, test and troubleshoot post-installation circuits, and help maintain high safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes on-site work, physical readiness, and the ability to document daily progress while adhering to telecom network procedures. Training and growth opportunities are offered within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Pass DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card.
• 6 months of splicing experience or 1 year in telecom industry.
• Pole climbing certification preferred.
• Knowledge of telecommunications network structure.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and material usage records.
• Other duties as assigned.
