Job summary

Globe Communications, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer to join our telecom network team. You’ll fuse optical fibers and perform splicing tasks to maintain reliable connections, both aerial and underground, ensuring data travels smoothly.

This role requires 6 months of splicing or 1 year in telecom, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a DOT exam; we offer weekly pay, PTO, 401(k) with match, and education reimbursement. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or GED plus relevant work experience.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and maintain a medical card.
• Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience with splicing telecom cables is preferred.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at heights, from underground to the air.
• Complete basic daily vehicle maintenance and document work in reports.
