Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer II to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunications network. You will perform aerial and underground splicing, test circuits, and ensure workmanship meets industry standards.

Minimum two years of fiber splicing experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a DOT medical exam are required. We offer weekly pay, PTO, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver’s license with a clean record.
• DOT medical exam and valid medical card.
• At least two years of fiber splicing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Upgrade existing fiber sheaths with new fiber sheaths.
• Document work through daily production reports and maps; maintain material usage records.
• Provide guidance to other splicers as needed.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles.
