Job summary

Fiber Technologies Solutions, LLC is hiring a Fiber Splicer to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunications networks. You will perform splicing tasks, test and troubleshoot post-installation circuits, and ensure work meets industry standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• 6 months of splicing experience or 1 year in telecommunications.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records.
