Job summary

Texstar Enterprises, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunication networks. You’ll work to keep strong, reliable connections as our network expands, with a safety-first approach.

Responsibilities include splicing for aerial and underground routes, testing circuits after installation, and documenting daily production and material usage. DOT medical card, valid driver’s license, and minimum splicing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months splicing experience or 1 year in telecommunications.
• Must pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including maps and material usage.
• Other duties as assigned.
