Job summary
Uniti is seeking a Customer Service Technician to install and repair residential and business communications services, including telephone, internet, and video. You will train with tools and test equipment to support multiple technologies and network designs, and you will recommend solutions to meet customers’ needs.
You will work on buried and aerial plant, may climb poles and ladders, and operate a company vehicle safely.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work aloft.
- Ability to distinguish colors in color-coded cabling.
- Willingness to complete required safety training.
- Ability to work day, evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
- Customer service or sales experience is a plus.
- Two-year technical degree in computers or electronics is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Install and repair residential and business services (telephone, internet, video).
- Train and use tools/test equipment to support multiple technologies and network designs.
- Recommend products and services to meet customers' needs.
- Work on buried and aerial plant; may require pole climbing and ladder use.
- Safely operate and maintain company service vehicle.
- Work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Report to the Manager of Local Operations.
