Job summary

Hotwire Communications Ltd is seeking a Construction Technician to contribute to quality installation practices for video, voice, and internet services in residential and commercial projects. You will handle fiber optic cabling, CAT5/6 drop wiring, RF testing, and site coordination across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates Degree in Internet Technologies preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience installing, testing and troubleshooting cable, phone and internet.

Responsibilities

• Assist installation and activation of fiber-optic services in residential and commercial settings.
• Install and service video, telephone and internet services and troubleshoot related issues.
• Follow safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
• Test and tone wires from equipment room to outlet.
• Troubleshoot RF and IP issues from demarc to customer premises equipment.
• Plan and coordinate new installations to minimize material waste and ensure reliability.
