Job summary

Frontier Communications in Santa Maria, CA, seeks a Fiber Network Field Technician to support installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber network facilities from the customer-serving terminal to the customer’s premises.

You will install and configure routers and set-top boxes, handle inside wiring and ONT activation, and work with customers to ensure satisfaction and proper service setup.

Qualifications

• Valid California class C driver’s license required.
• Experience in fiber network field service preferred.
• Background checks including DOJ fingerprinting required.
• Ability to distinguish colors and audible tones.

Responsibilities

• Installs, removes, and maintains fiber network services.
• Configures routers and set top boxes; assist with inside wiring.
• Activates the ONT and handles inside wiring at the hub.
• Interacts with customers to ensure satisfaction and follow-up.
• Interprets schematics and orders equipment; uses test gear to troubleshoot.
