Job summary

Frontier Communications Corporation is seeking a Fiber Network Field Technician for our Los Gatos, CA location. You will perform fiber network installation, testing, and maintenance from the customer-serving terminal to the customer premise, including configuring routers and set-top boxes, and assisting with PC software where needed.

You will interact with customers, ensure satisfaction, and leverage field tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Must possess, at time of appointment, a valid California class “C” driver’s license.
• Criminal Records Check – fingerprinting and DOJ screening required.
• Must possess the ability to perceive difference in colors.
• Must possess the ability to distinguish audible tones/levels.

Responsibilities

• Installs, removes, rearranges, programs, tests, troubleshoots and maintains fiber network services.
• Installs and configures routers, set top boxes, and may assist with PC software configuration.
• Interacts with the Fiber Solution Center and may install inside wiring (Cat 5E, coax).
• Maintains outside/inside fiber equipment and activates ONT for customers.
• Interprets work orders, orders equipment, and performs problem solving as needed.
