Job summary

Frontier Communications is seeking a Fiber Network Field Technician in Torrance, CA to perform installation, maintenance and activation of fiber network facilities from the customer terminal to the premises, including ONT activation and inside wiring.

The role involves testing with equipment, reading schematics, configuring routers, interfacing with customers, and ensuring high quality service delivery on-site.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid California class "C" driver's license.
• Ability to pass Department of Justice fingerprinting and background screening.
• Must possess the ability to perceive color differences.
• Must possess the ability to distinguish audible tones/levels.

Responsibilities

• Installs, removes, rearranges, tests, troubleshoots and maintains fiber network services.
• Installs and configures routers and set top boxes; assists with inside wiring.
• Interfaces with customers to place equipment and train users.
• Interprets schematic work orders and orders required equipment.
• Uses test equipment to diagnose and address issues.
