Job summary

Socket Telecom LLC seeks a Field Service Technician III to perform on-site installations and repairs for residential customers in the Memphis area. You will install and configure customer equipment and ensure a seamless experience while connecting to Socket's fiber network.

Travel across service areas is required; work outdoors in various weather and conditions, and lift up to 70 lbs. This role emphasizes safety, professionalism, and strong customer service during every service visit.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in telecommunications, installation, construction, and utility work.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and in underground and aerial environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent installations and repairs for residential and business internet and phone services.
• Install and configure customer equipment including routers, modems, and Wi‑Fi gateways.
• Provide a professional, friendly, and knowledgeable customer experience during service visits.
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity and service issues with accuracy and efficiency.
• Install, terminate, and test network cabling in accordance with codes and standards.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation of service activities.
• Safely operate company vehicles and equipment per safety protocols and DOT/OSHA regulations.
• Maintain a clean driving record and represent Socket in the field.
