Job summary

Socket Fiber is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician III to perform onsite residential installations and repairs across Missouri service areas. You will install and configure customer equipment, including routers, modems, and Wi-Fi gateways, and ensure a seamless customer experience during service visits.

The role requires travel, working in varied conditions, lifting up to 70 lbs, operating a bucket truck, and participating in on-call rotations with nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver''s license with no restrictions.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs and operate a bucket truck with a 300 lbs weight limit.
• Flexible schedule with availability on Saturdays and/or Sundays.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent installations and repairs for residential and business internet and phone services.
• Install and configure customer equipment, including routers, modems and Wi-Fi gateways.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by being professional, friendly and knowledgeable during all service visits.
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity and service issues with accuracy and efficiency.
• Install, terminate and test network cabling, adhering to all relevant codes and standards.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation of service activities.
• Safely operate company vehicles and equipment, including ladders and bucket trucks, following all safety protocols and DOT/OSHA rules.
• Maintain a clean driving record and represent Socket with professionalism in the field.
