Job summary

Socket Fiber is seeking a Field Service Technician II to join our team. You will deliver expert onsite installation services for residential customers and travel to service areas as needed, ensuring a seamless experience as customers connect to Socket's fiber network.

This role requires working in various conditions and operating in both underground and aerial environments. You will install and configure customer equipment, diagnose connectivity issues, test network cabling, and complete

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in telecommunications, installation, construction, and utility work.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
• Able to participate in an on-call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs. while performing duties.
• Able to operate a bucket truck within weight limits.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent installations and repairs for residential customers.
• Install and configure customer equipment, including routers, modems, and Wi-Fi gateways.
• Deliver excellent customer experience with professionalism and knowledge.
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity and service issues.
• Install, terminate, and test network cabling per codes and standards.
• Complete accurate daily documentation of service activities.
