Job summary

Socket Fiber is seeking a Field Services Technician - Tier II to perform on-site residential installations and repairs. The role involves installing and configuring customer equipment, ensuring a seamless experience while traveling across service areas in Lebanon and surrounding regions.

The ideal candidate has a strong safety focus, reliable driving record, and ability to work outdoors in varying weather. On-call rotations, Saturday/Sunday shifts, and climbing ladders or operating a bucket

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in telecommunications, installation, construction and utility work.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Comfortable and able to work in both underground and aerial environments (ladder up to 32 ft, bucket truck).
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs and operate a bucket truck up to 300 lbs.
• Flexible schedule with Saturdays and/or Sundays.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent installations and repairs for residential customers.
• Install and configure customer equipment including routers, modems, and Wi‑Fi gateways.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by being professional, friendly, and knowledgeable during service visits.
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity and service issues with accuracy and efficiency.
• Install, terminate, and test network cabling, adhering to codes and standards.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation of service activities.
• Safely operate company vehicles and equipment per safety protocols and DOT/OSHA regulations.
• Maintain a clean driving record and represent Socket in the field.
