Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services, located in Franklin, TN, is seeking a qualified specialist to manage FHA home retention claims. The role involves filing, following up on, and reconciling claims in line with investor guidelines, with a starting hourly rate of $23–$26.

The candidate will handle posting instructions within 24 hours of receipt, monitor progress, and document all actions in the system while maintaining HUD audit files.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the loss mitigation and claims process.
• Excellent written and oral communication, organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure and changing priorities.
• Mortgage servicing default experience preferred.
• Previous FHA claims experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file HUD claims timely and accurately.
• Follow up on claim proceeds.
• Perform loan-level reconciliation of final claim proceeds.
• Provide posting instructions for claim proceeds within 24 hours.
• Review and ensure timely completion of scheduled steps.
• Input completion dates for actions.
• Obtain approvals and reschedule dates as needed.
• Perform routine daily follow-ups.
• Inform Supervisor of trends such as denials or delays.
• Document servicing actions, delays, and calls in system notes.
• Image all claim documents timely.
• Maintain HUD audit file.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
