Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Loss Mitigation FHA Claims Specialist to prepare, file, and follow up on HUD/FHA claims from a home-based role. The position requires timely and accurate processing adhering to investor guidelines, with a target pay range of $23.00 to $26.00 per hour.

You will perform loan level reconciliations, post claim proceeds within 24 hours, and maintain HUD audit files while communicating trends and delays to supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• 1–2 years mortgage servicing default experience preferred.
• Previous FHA claims experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file HUD claims timely and accurately per guidelines.
• Follow up on outstanding claim proceeds on a semi-daily basis.
• Perform loan level reconciliations of claimed vs paid amounts and adjust as needed.
