Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking an claims processor focused on FHA home retention claims. You will file, follow up, and reconcile HUD claims per insurer guidelines, while maintaining accurate records and imaging documents.

Strong communication and detail-orientation are essential to meet tight deadlines and regulatory standards. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of mortgage servicing default experience and familiarity with FHA claims, with a starting hourly rate of $23–$26 in Phoenix, AZ.

• Basic arithmetic and ability to document results accurately.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file HUD claims timely and accurately.
• Follow up on all claim proceeds semi-daily.
• Perform loan-level reconciliation of claimed vs paid proceeds.
• Provide posting instructions within 24 hours of receipt.
• Ensure timely completion of regularly scheduled steps.
• Log completion dates and adjust schedules as needed.
• Maintain HUD audit file and imaging of claim documents.
• Document servicing actions, delays, and communications in notes.
