Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a claims processor to prepare and file FHA/HUD claims, track progress, and reconcile outcomes with loan data. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and strong communication to ensure compliance with investor guidelines.

The position emphasizes timely posting of claim proceeds, daily follow-up on processing, and maintaining organized documentation. A high school diploma and mortgage servicing experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file HUD claims timely and accurately per guidelines.
• Follow up on all outstanding claim proceeds semi-daily.
• Reconcile final claim proceeds with amount claimed, paid, and outstanding loan indebtedness.
• Provide posting instructions for all claim proceeds within 24 hours of receipt.
• Maintain the HUD audit file and image all claim documents timely.
• Document servicing actions, delays, and conversations in system notes.
