Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services seeks an FHA Claims Specialist in Atlanta to prepare, file and follow up on HUD/FHA home retention claims in accordance with investor and CMS guidelines. You will reconcile loan proceeds, post claim data within 24 hours, and monitor step-by-step progress to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and collaborate across teams.

• Excellent written and oral communication, organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file HUD claims timely and accurately according to guidelines.
• Follow up semi-daily on all outstanding claim proceeds.
• Perform loan-level reconciliation for final claim proceeds.
• Provide posting instructions for claim proceeds within 24 hours.
• Review and ensure timely completion of all scheduled steps.
