Carrington Mortgage Services in Santa Fe, NM, seeks an experienced claims specialist to prepare, file and follow up on FHA home retention claims in line with investor guidelines. The role emphasizes accuracy and timely handling of HUD claims, postings, and documentation.

You will reconcile final claim proceeds, image documents, and maintain the HUD audit file while keeping supervisors informed of trends. Starting hourly rate is $23-$26.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with loss mitigation and claims processes.

• Experience with FHA/HUD claims is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file HUD claims per guidelines.
• Follow up on claim proceeds on a semi-daily basis.
• Perform loan-level reconciliations for final claim proceeds.
• Provide posting instructions within 24 hours of receipt.
• Document servicing actions and imaging of claim documents.
• Maintain HUD audit file and respond to trends with supervisor.
