Job summary

Cisco is seeking an experienced engineer to deploy, operate, and maintain resilient AWS and Kubernetes-based microservices for the Webex for Government environment. You will monitor health, troubleshoot incidents, and automate provisioning to boost reliability and security.

The role requires Go/Java/Python, strong Linux and container skills, and SRE practices. It is a hybrid position with in-office days in RTP, NC or Boxborough, MA to support 24x7 operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, engineering, or related field required.
• 7+ years of related experience in software engineering or site reliability engineering preferred.
• 4+ years of experience with Go, Java, Python or similar languages.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, operate, and maintain AWS and Kubernetes-based microservices.
• Monitor service health and troubleshoot complex incidents in a 24x7 production environment.
• Automate operational tasks and provisioning to improve safety, efficiency, and reliability.
• Support IAM, logging, hardening, vulnerability remediation, and FedRAMP continuous monitoring.
