Job summary

Skydio, the leading US drone company, is seeking a Solutions Engineer for Federal customers. You will drive technical discovery, demonstrations, and implementations, acting as the bridge between product and sales to meet federal contract needs.

You will work with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to deliver autonomous solutions while navigating security clearances and travel requirements. This role reports to the Solutions Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

5+ years experience and a Technical Bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of education and technical sales experience.
US Citizenship is required to work on government contracts.
FAA Part 107 Certification or the ability to obtain it.
Active Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain it.
Experience with federal UAV systems, sensors, and analysis systems.
Experience implementing new technology for internal/external customers and interfacing with technical teams.

Responsibilities

Lead technical discovery and implementation with federal customers, and demonstrate Skydio product capabilities to win deals.
Set up and conduct system demonstrations, troubleshoot, and present system value to customers and partners.
Lead system validation and customer implementations to ensure successful deployment.
Provide SME guidance on federal contracting validation exercises to Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams.
Support RFIs/RFPs with technical writing and responses; contribute to product roadmap by voicing customer needs.
