Job summary

Skydio, the leading US drone company, seeks a driven Solutions Engineer to partner with federal customers, translating requirements into deployable Skydio solutions and guiding discovery, demonstrations, and validation. You will bridge product, engineering, and sales, support RFIs/RFPs, and contribute to roadmaps while navigating federal contracting, with 50% travel and eligibility for security clearances.

This role reports to the Solutions Engineering Manager and requires a Technical Bachelor's

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience and a Technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and technical sales experience.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time (domestic and some international).
• FAA Part 107 Certification or the ability to obtain.
• Active Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain.
• Strong background in UAV systems and federal contracting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with federal customers to translate requirements into feasible Skydio deployments.
• Prepare and conduct system demonstrations, set up equipment, troubleshoot, and present value to customers and partners.
• Lead all aspects of system validation and customer implementations to ensure successful deployment.
• Provide SME input on federal contracting validation exercises for Sales, CS, and Product teams.
• Support business development through technical writing for RFIs and RFPs.
• Support product roadmap by representing the customer voice for Federal customers.
