Hewlett Packard Enterprise Networking Federal is seeking a Pre‑Sales Systems Engineer focused on Federal/National Security accounts across MD/DC/VA. US citizenship and TS/SCI clearance are required at time of hire.

You will lead technical design, develop secure networking solutions, present to customers, and collaborate with account teams to advance opportunities. Some travel (up to 25%) to customer locations will be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of pre-sales, systems engineering, or networking experience.
• ~3+ years of experience with Federal, DoD, IC, or classified customers.
• Candidate must possess active TS/SCI security clearance at time of hire.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Expertise in routing, switching, security, and data center networking.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales technical leadership for Federal/National Security customers.
• Design and position secure networking solutions across campus, WAN, data center, and mission-critical environments.
• Lead customer presentations, workshops, demonstrations, and proof of concept engagements.
• Partner with Account Managers to qualify opportunities and drive technical strategy through closure.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with customer stakeholders in highly secure environments.
• Translate customer requirements into scalable HPE Networking solutions.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, services, channel, and sales teams to deliver winning solutions.
• Maintain strong competitive knowledge of networking vendors and market trends.
• Support account planning, pipeline development, and long-term territory growth.
• Travel to customer locations as business needs require.
