Job summary

J2R Solutions LLC is seeking a senior Pre-Sales Engineer for federal IT solutions. You will translate customer needs into tailored IT and cybersecurity offerings while aligning with mission objectives, working with DoD clients and strategic partners.

The role requires leading technical discussions, designing architectures, and delivering compelling solution demonstrations. A security clearance is highly preferred, with remote work from the DC area considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in technical presales, solutions engineering, or consulting.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, cloud, and infrastructure tech.
• Federal/DOD experience preferred; active clearance a plus.
• CISSP/CCSP or cloud vendor credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales to craft technical strategies for federal clients.
• Lead technical discussions, demos, and proofs-of-concept.
• Architect solutions across Zero Trust, DevSecOps, Kubernetes security.
• Develop proposals, diagrams, and documentation communicating value.
• Build relationships as a trusted technical advisor.
