Job summary

BigID is expanding its Federal Solutions Engineering team in the U.S. to help government agencies leverage our data security and privacy platform.

This Senior Solutions/Presales Engineer will lead technical demonstrations, design hands-on proofs-of-concept, and own responses to RFPs and security questionnaires within federal procurement environments. You will work closely with Federal Sales, collaborate on solution architecture, and ensure compliance with FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST, and ITAR.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in a pre-sales engineering or consulting role within an enterprise software or federal systems environment.
• Experience with U.S. Federal agencies or defense-related organizations.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, FISMA, ITAR, and CMMC.
• Broad understanding of enterprise data architecture, privacy, and security technologies.
• Excellent customer-facing communication and organizational skills.
• Self-directed with high ownership across long federal sales cycles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical subject matter expert for BigID’s platform alongside the Federal Sales team during agency calls, presentations, and procurement processes.
• Deliver tailored product demonstrations to technical and executive federal stakeholders, including CISOs and procurement teams.
• Design, build, and run hands-on POVs/POCs in federal environments, including sensitive data environments.
• Own responses to federal RFPs, RFIs, security questionnaires, and technical capability statements.
• Handle technical objections and competitive positioning with federal customers.
• Consult on best practices and provide direction for solution architecture within FedRAMP, NIST, FISMA, ITAR requirements.
• Stay current on competitive solutions and federal offerings.
• Drive customer success with tailored recommendations.
• Partner with post-sales teams to ensure value realization by federal customers.
• Work with Product Management to capture federal feedback.
