Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a seasoned Federal Alternative Delivery Market Lead to drive strategy and partnerships with national and regional General Contractors pursuing alternative delivery methods for U.S. government projects.

You will lead efforts to position CDM Smith as the preferred designer, manage executive relationships, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across pursuit, preconstruction, and delivery stages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 15 years of related experience.
• Willingness to travel 20–40% as needed.
• Experience with federal procurement mechanics (FAR Part 36, two-phase Design-Build).

Responsibilities

• Lead CDM Smith’s Federal Alternative Delivery pursuits and establish relationships with regional/national General Contractors.
• Position CDM Smith as preferred design partner and negotiate exclusivity, teaming terms, and scopes of work.
• Develop and execute teaming strategies with CSLs and delivery teams from target identification through teaming agreements.
• Manage the contractor relationship pipeline and support pursuit teams through award.
• Translate procurement criteria into competitive designer-led subcontracting or JV structures.
• Track federal opportunities and ensure alignment of resources with prime contractor interests.
