Job summary

GSA is seeking a Construction Manager/COR to provide construction management, technical oversight and contract administration for federal and leasing projects. The position coordinates with architects, engineers, contractors, and client agencies to ensure scope, schedule and budget alignment.

The role requires managing complex projects, reviewing design submissions, performing cost estimates, and representing the government in negotiations with contractors and lessors.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 level or higher in Federal service.
• Experience applying engineering methods and construction practices to building systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural plans and specs.
• Experience independently managing projects or large project portions with multi-discipline teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, construction and leasing project activities, reviewing submissions and monitoring progress.
• Act as COR, liaising with contractors and lessors, inspecting work, and documenting contractual compliance.
• Coordinate among architects, engineers, contractors, budget analysts, and client agencies.
• Prepare independent estimates and analyses to support acquisition strategies and negotiations.
