Black Canyon Consulting seeks a highly motivated Business Development and Capture Specialist to drive federal contracting opportunities from identification through pursuit. You will work across BD, capture, proposal development, and customer outreach, building strategic relationships with government stakeholders and partners.

The role emphasizes opportunity qualification, research, and persuasive writing to position the firm for competitive success in the federal market.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in federal government contracting or related function.
• Ability to work in the Washington, DC area with in-person meetings.
• Experience reviewing solicitations and acquisition documents (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, SOWs).
• Strong research skills to evaluate opportunities and competitors.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Identify and monitor federal contracting opportunities aligned with capabilities and growth priorities.
• Build relationships with federal customers, partners, and industry participants.
• Support capture activities: research, teaming, win themes, and positioning.
• Develop outlines, compliance matrices, and proposal content; ensure responsiveness and quality.
• Maintain organized pursuit pipelines and cooperate with leadership and SMEs.
