Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States seeks a highly experienced Business Development and Capture Leader to steer strategy and partnerships with national and regional General Contractors on federal alternative delivery projects. You will drive early teaming commitments and lead executive relationships to improve the probability of award.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 15 years of related experience required.
• Willingness to travel 20–40% as needed.
• Experience with federal architecture/engineering & construction pursuits is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Target regional and national General Contractors pursuing federal alternative delivery contracts.
• Position CDM Smith as the preferred design subcontractor early in procurement and negotiate teaming terms.
• Collaborate with pursuit teams to present engineering expertise, constructability and cost validation to GC teams.
• Lead teaming strategy for federal opportunities and translate criteria into subcontracting or teaming structures.
• Work with federal Client Service Leaders to maintain a qualified pipeline and determine next actions.
• Track federal procurement movements and align resources with prime contractor interest and capacity.
• Identify and resolve friction points between GC and A/E teams during design validation and cost development.
• Serve as the senior relationship and capture lead through teaming agreement execution and transition to delivery teams.
