Job summary

CDM Smith seeks a seasoned Alternative Delivery Market Lead to drive federal opportunities across design‑build and PDB programs. You will shape pursuit strategies, build executive relationships with national General Contractors, and position CDM Smith as a premier designer‑of‑record partner for large, complex federal projects.

In this role, you will work with CSLs and cross‑functional teams to identify targets, negotiate teaming terms, and translate procurement criteria into winning subcontract

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 15 years of related experience preferred.
• Experience with federal architecture, engineering and construction business development or capture management.
• Knowledge of FAR Part 36, two‑phase Design‑Build selection and related procurement methods.

Responsibilities

• Target regional and national General Contractors pursuing federal alternate delivery contracts.
• Position CDM Smith as the preferred design subcontractor early in the procurement cycle; negotiate exclusivity and teaming terms.
• Lead teaming strategy for DoD and other federal opportunities; translate procurement criteria into competitive designer‑led subcontract structures.
• Maintain a qualified pipeline of federal opportunities; collaborate with CSLs and pursuit teams from target identification to agreements and scopes of work.
