Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must show eligibility for one of five eligible medical assistant certifications.
• Certification within six months of employment is required if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient flow and assist physicians/APPs with care activities.
• Obtain accurate vital signs and document patient information.
• Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies, and maintain clean, safe areas.
• Assist with referrals, transfers and discharge processes.
• Perform delegated procedures (ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, wound care) as directed.

Education

High school diploma or GED

CMA / RMA / NCMA / CCMA / NRCMA certification within 6 months

EMT certification or EMT-Paramedic license

BLS certification

Pre-employment competency exam
