Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Immediate Care Technician to support physicians and APPs by facilitating patient flow and assisting with various patient care activities. You will help maintain clean, safe care areas, promote patient satisfaction, and assist with referrals, transfers, and routine procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to obtain mandatory certifications within six months; EMT certification or Illinois EMT license is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Support physicians and APPs by facilitating patient flow and assisting with care activities.

• Assist with referrals, transfers, discharges and with procedures (ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, wound care).
• Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies, and manage documentation of visit reason, allergies, and meds.
