Job summary

Hertz Local Edition is hiring a Manager Trainee to support location performance, develop leadership skills, and prepare for promotion to Branch Manager within 12–18 months. The role offers a fast-paced environment with growth opportunities and hands-on exposure across sales, operations, and finance processes.

You will learn to manage fleet logistics, customer service excellence, and performance coaching, while shadowing leadership and contributing to the financial wellbeing of the location.

Qualifications

• Must be 20 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong computer and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to grow.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support achievement of location sales goals.
• Deliver excellent customer experience to contribute to high customer service scores.
• Learn and apply sales techniques and CRM best practices.
• Gain hands-on experience in fleet logistics and inventory control.
• Assist with store operations and compliance.
• Support team with miscellaneous tasks including cleaning and preparing vehicles for customers, lot management, and customer service assistance.
• Learn finance processes and support deal completion.
• Understand reporting, documentation, and business metrics.
• Shadow and support management in daily operations.
• Build skills in team leadership, scheduling, and performance coaching.
• Prepare for future leadership roles through structured training.
