Community Health Network is seeking an Associate Patient Access Representative (APAR) to be the first contact for visitors, handling customer service, patient registration, and financial clearance. The role includes check-ins, scheduling, payment collection, insurance verification, and compliance management to ensure smooth workflows and proper prep of patients for visits.

The APAR ensures accurate EHR documentation and uses CMS guidelines to communicate coverage and eligibility information.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years healthcare office experience preferred.
• Proficient in all types of registrations (inpatient, outpatient, and emergency).
• Completes admissions, discharges and transfers in a timely manner.
• Ability to monitor and perform patient hospital and ambulatory movements.
• Utilizes EPIC work queue to pre-register scheduled patients.
• Verifies medical necessity in accordance with CMS standards and communicates coverage and eligibility information to the patient.
• Accurately identifies and enters patient demographics, insurance, and financial information.
• Gathers and verifies confidential health and financial information from patients while using various computer software.
• Confirms the completeness of the electronic health record (EHR) and makes necessary changes.
