Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform comprehensive facility and equipment maintenance at the Milwaukee-area location. The role requires proactive troubleshooting, CMMS documentation, and adherence to safety standards. Expect on-call coverage and some weekend hours.

You will work with measures of a 40-hour week, primarily M-F with additional on-call duties as needed to keep hospital operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• 4+ years of experience in equipment maintenance.
• Basic computer skills including CMMS and building automation systems; good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance following codes and standards and documents in CMMS.
• Maintains, repairs and troubleshoots mechanical equipment (motors, pumps, conveyors, doors, boilers, fans, etc.) with minimal guidance.
• Maintains and repairs patient care equipment (beds, wheelchairs, carts, tables, etc.).
• Troubleshoots mechanical/electrical systems (HVAC, water systems, medical gas, etc.) with minimal guidance.
• Performs general maintenance tasks (grounds, carpentry, painting, snow removal).
• Responds to emergencies (leaks, floods, power outages, equipment failures) and communicates status to requesters.
• Reads blueprints and manuals to complete assignments.
