Job summary

Exelon in Villa Park, IL, is seeking a Senior Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation and security of occupied buildings and reporting centers. You will supervise a facilities maintenance team, manage O&M and capital budgets, and ensure safety and performance targets are met.

You will evaluate bids, negotiate contracts, and lead continuous improvement across facilities operations while coordinating with internal departments and external service providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field and 4-7 years' experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of facilities management planning, scheduling and maintenance.
• Effective performance management and supervisory experience.
• Ability to negotiate with contractors and service providers.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Proven ability to drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop life cycle cost analysis for facility planning and locate efficient sites.
• Plan and manage a skilled trade staff for building and grounds maintenance.
• Develop contingency plans for evacuation and emergency preparedness.
• Develop specifications, evaluate RFPs, and manage contracts.
• Provide leadership and development for Facilities team and conduct performance reviews.
• Interface with occupants and other departments across Exelon.
• Oversee safety, training, and communication within Facilities staff.
• Manage O&M and capital budgets for area of responsibility.
• Maintain performance indicators and coordinate with external facilities management partners.
