Job summary

Exelon Corporation is seeking an Operations Specialist for on-site duties in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. You will supervise a facilities team, manage maintenance, and ensure safety and efficiency across multiple buildings and support centers.

Key responsibilities include cost analysis, bid evaluation, vendor management, and developing contingency plans. A Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field with several years of experience is preferred, with strong leadership and communication abilities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field and 4-7 years’ experience, or in lieu of degree, 6-9 years’ business experience.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of facilities management planning, scheduling and maintenance of facility equipment.
Effective performance management skills and demonstrated success as a supervisor or manager.
Ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of the Company with contractors and other service providers.

Responsibilities

Develop life cycle cost analysis for facility short and long term planning.
Plan and schedule staff of skilled trade employees in maintenance of buildings.
Develop contingency plans for evacuation and emergency preparedness for all facilities operations.
Develop specifications, evaluate RFP, and manage vendor contracts.
